Purpose

We partner with students on a transformative journey of learning, connection, and self-discovery—intentionally shaping accessible environments that foster personal growth, well-being, and a sense of community. We empower students to become the architects of their Tulane experience as they learn, lead, and live with integrity, purpose, and impact.

Strategic Initiatives

Continuously evolve programs, services, and environments to meet the needs of a diverse and changing student population

1.1  Evaluate programs, services, and supports to determine alignment with shifting
demographics and responsiveness to student needs (as identified in the needs assessment)
and enact changes or develop new programs in response to unmet needs.

1.2   Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment across all student populations (including
graduate and professional students across campus locations).

1.4    Build and sustain interconnected systems that promote student resilience, belonging, and
        well-being.

Strengthen cross-campus relationships and internal cohesion to deliver excellent, coordinated, student-centered support that fosters success during college and throughout life after graduation.

2.1  Conduct a current state assessment of DSA/campus partnerships, identifying best practices
as well as areas in need of improved collaboration and communication.

2.2  Use available data and feedback from colleagues and partners to inform ongoing
evaluation of our collaborations, joint programs, and areas.

2.3   Develop, mentor, and sponsor DSA staff, enabling them to navigate the broader Tulane
University culture and empowering them to develop and strengthen their relations with
       colleagues outside our division.

Use assessment, research, and data to inform decisions, improve services, and communicate value.

3.1  Create a robust assessment program for the Division of Student Affairs.

3.2  Incentivize and reward data-driven work.
