CAROLYN R. BARBER-PIERRE


Current Position and Responsibilities:
Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs.

Since 2003, Carolyn has been an Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. She has recently been assigned the responsibility for providing leadership and direction for the Center for International Students and Scholars; overseeing personnel management and supervision, departmental and divisional representation, fiscal management, and to ensure that the Center's staff works closely with all administrative and academic departments to enroll and/or employ foreign exchange students, scholars and faculty in compliance with the Department of Homeland Security and US Immigration regulations.

In addition, responsible for the oversight of the Office of Multicultural Affairs, LGBT Student Life and Religious Life. Assists in the university's strategic efforts to plan and direct the development and administration of programs and services that enhance racial and ethnic diversity on campus. Provides support and direction for all community service student volunteers organizations and efforts in cooperation with the Center for Public Service. Co-supervises the Assistant Director for Community Service. Serves as Judicial Officer for the Office of Student Affairs and a Senior Leadership Team Member within the Division of Student Affairs.
